For example,

January: Start exercising February: Write a book March: …

And then splitting those monthly goals into weekly ones

Jan, week 1: Buy a membership to gym Jan, week 2: Work out 3 days a week Jan, week 3: …

And furthermore, from weekly to daily:

Jan 1st: … Jan 2nd: Research local gym offerings Jan 3rd: Purchase membership
