My journey with Helmet Gaming Challenge continues today with Dorfromantik which I’m pretty sure fits into category “A game that is allowed for everyone (PEGI S)“. PEGI ratings start with PEGI 3 for everyone and according to EE Gamesmart, that’s what Dorfromantik falls into.
Dorfromantik is a very casual and non-competitive hexagonal tile laying game where you build a beautiful country side with towns, fields, forests, lakes, rivers and railroads to either score points by competing challenges or just to chill out and build a beautiful countryside.
For me, it’s the ultimate cozy game. I love sitting down and relaxing and watching the locomotives pull their trains across the strategically placed railroads and the boats do whatever boats do in rivers and lakes that split the towns and fields and provide both transportation and irrigation to them.
I find the creative sandbox mode the most interesting one. When I aim to complete challenges, my areas become segregated by type: there are huge colonies of towns in one spot next to massive fields, followed by huge forests and rivers and railroads try to fit in wherever they lead.
