Magic the Gathering is the most popular trading card game. It was initially designed by Richard Garfield in 1993 and is run by Wizards of the Coast.
The game is mostly played by two dueling wizards (players) who use different land types to generate mana to cast creatures and other spells to fight each other. Some formats like Two Headed Giant and Commander are multiplayer formats played with more than two players.
Over the 30+ years, there have been over 200 individual sets with thousands of cards to choose from.
