Pieni puoti Punavuoressa book cover

Hanna Velling’s Pieni puoti Punavuoressa (in Finnish) is a lovely feel-good book about a woman, Metti, who inherits her passed relative’s small shop of second hand kids clothes. The story follows her early days of her entrepreneurship story and how her relationships with customers, family and other entrepreneurs in the street develop.

I absolutely loved this book. I picked it up on a whim from a library bus and read it in one session on a slow Sunday morning. Velling succeeds well in exploring Metti’s internal turmoil in being a new entrepreneur, navigating messy relationships and finding her courage and own path despite conflicting expectations.
